a home

I am a homebody, and that's always been fine with me. Give me an option of a night on the town or pizza and a movie at home, home it is! It's a funny thing, I can pass up a pair of shoes, a handbag or clothes shopping, but a warm throw for our corner reading chair, or a bag of dark chocolate cocoa, for welcoming guest- yes to that!

Home is everything to me.  Our home by no means, is a fancy one, it's rather lived in. We homeschool at an old farm table in the kitchen, we roll cookies and bread out, on a rickety butcher block. And if you were to stop by {especially during this season} the tea pot would be simmering, books would be sprawled all over, our teenagers might be bickering and fairy lights glow, from many corners.

I don't worry if you spill your drink or mind if you wear your shoes, it's a comfortable home, and there is always room for one more, at our dinner table.

When I saw Skiingrn1 photo, I felt at home. The quilt, the book, this photo warmed my soul and welcomed me in, that's what home is all about for me.

Warmly,
christina {soul aperture}

Oh, those marshmallows are so inviting on this cool fall morning. Works of art. And there's nothing better than snuggling up to a good book.

Sounds like a home I would love to visit - I'm such a homebody too. I like that lived in feel...I feel cozy just thinking about it.

christina, the warm glow of your home, photo, and personality envelopes us today! All lovely. Homebody - me too:) Skiingrn1's image is a perfect match for your post. Wrapped in a quilt, reading a book, that's what I was doing last night!

Thank you all so much! It's cold and rainy here, and I am hiding under a quilt with a good book.

Christina, what a wonderful pairing and beautiful words...and yes, warming as we prepare for the cold of winter.

Your picture is making me dream of s'mores. I have a fire pit on the patio and that would be a fun activity to do with the grandchildren the next time they come over. Thank you for selecting my image to pair with. It's interesting how things have changed in such a short time - I've switched to an e-reader and suspect that having one of those in the picture wouldn't have the same warm feeling.
