a cool off

Summer time always means a lot of fun to me.

The warm sun, the feeling of grass on my toes and a creative way to cool down.

I grew up as a poor middle child, with two brothers. So fun in the summer meant driving the bicycle until dark and getting creative in ways to cool ourselves off. Believe me, they were very creative.

This is the reason why this image below spoke to me so much. Because it reminds me of the carefree days as a child. Living for the moment.

For my picture, I set my tripod down in our backyard and poured a can of water onto myself. I had fun, although the water was very very cold.

I hope you all have fun during this project here. I enjoy seeing all the creativity in the flickr group and here on our blog.

Hope you'll return tomorrow.

Oh, you are so dedicated to pour cold water on yourself! The second image is wonderful too. I love the expression on the little girl's face. Perfect timing.

Since today is the hottest day in Lexington in 3 years - I could use a little cooling off - thanks for providing it.
