from where i stand

Two feet. Ten toes. Endless possibilities. They've taken me all over the world traveling to over 40 countries, trekking mountains, climbing boulders, treading water in three oceans. They've skipped down country lanes, hopped over train tracks, wobbled in high heels and run numerous races even if it was long, long ago. They've skied down mogul fields, kicked at stones, pedalled around lakes, and sunk their soles into hot sand. You could even say their motto is "Choose your own Adventure".

But they've also dragged and lagged when they should have walked tall and proud. They've tripped over each in uncertainty, and made too many disastrous detours to count. But even though they're calloused, scarred and sometimes stumble and fall, they're also perfect and strong and always moving forward. Right now, the view from where I stand, size 8 narrows, in summer sandals on terra firm is looking pretty good. And as slightly everything put it as the title of her shot below, "oh the places you'll go…." Indeed. I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Where have your feet taken you lately? I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!

Oh the places my feet have gone! To Europe once, California, Up and down the eastern coast...around and back again, by myself, with my family, with my babies, my loves, and in all kinds of shoes!! Tonight to visit this swell super sweet friend in Manyunk!! Thank you Holly! :)

Love this post. Love this group!

Hello fellow freshman MM --- can I ride on the coat tails of your fabulous post!? I can? Good! I have always loved the #fromwhereIstand meme, especially peaking toes! I have travelled circles around my office all summer, its just that kind of holiday this year.

My feet haven't gone nearly as many places as they should have, but hopefully they will. Last week they took me all over Washington DC, and boy are they sore! All worth it though.

Thank you for this post. I have a thing for feet photos!

Love this post, Holly. I have my own personal mantra (put on your shoes, which I've written about to many times to count) which makes your post resonate strongly! x
