tiny creatures

I am always intrigued by nature's tiny creatures and find butterflies to be nearly mesmerizing to watch as they float and flutter on the breeze from leaf to blossom. I truly enjoy the challenge of following one with my lens, trying to capture the colorful beauty as it rests from its dance for just a moment.

This photo by Misty DawnS is a delightful capture of another difficult subject. I love how she caught the grasshopper in his secret world, posed perfectly on a dew covered blade of grass basking in the morning light.

I am always amazed by photos like these. First, the ability to get a good shot of a tiny and usually moving creature is amazing. How do you do it without scaring them away? And then, to get a beautiful, clear image with fantastic light. Wow. Amazing photos both!

wow, amazing work to both of these photographers! I also wonder and am in awe about how to get a moving creature to "sit" still for photos this crisp and beautiful. Excellent and inspiring.

I love the different shade of green in the first shot. Just so pretty. The light around the grasshopper is amazing.
