Every morning is a rush of chaotic routine in our home. School bags, instruments, snacks, lunches to remember, before leaving for school and work. My favourite mornings are those when we walk to school. We look for the small things on our journey in; the snails, the leaves, the dew on the grass. How I relish seeing these things through my children's eyes. And of course, the walk back home alone is never as fun. But my mind is cleared and ready for the rest of the day.
I chose Libertad Leal's picture because when I looked at her picture, I truly felt part of her morning routine. I could almost smell that coffee along with her and think with her about plans for the day.

Kirstin, I feel the same way about my morning walks to school with my son. I just love the conversations we have! Your photo is such a great perspective.
And I agree with your comment on libertad leal's photo, such a beautiful capture of the moment.
Libertad's photo is so wonderful. I feel drawn into her moment of reflection. I am almost embarrassed for intruding on her personal space.
I love both of these photos. Morning is my favorite part of the day and just reading your post and delighting in these captures makes my heart beat just a little faster at the joy.
Blessings!
Such a lovely contrast seen in both photos! Gorgeous interpretations of the morning theme!
love how the pictures convey a feeling- I am working on that
Love the feeling of expectation in both Kirstin and Libertad Leal's photos. I love the walking together hand in hand with my children.
I love Libertad pictures! This one is an amazing shot!
Oh kirstin, I love how your picture reminds me of walking to school with my mom. Libertad's picture is gorgeous. love the moment alone.
I love my morning routine, anything that upsets it upsets my entire day.
When my daughter still went to Elementary school in our neighborhood we used to walk there. I always enjoyed that as well as the walk home in the afternoon. Today she's in Middle school and we have to take the car, but even during the drive we often experience wonderful sunlight and foggy mornings that we thoroughly enjoy. It's one of my favorite morning routines.
I love the perspective of your shot Kirstin. And I wish I could walk my daughter to school - sometimes I think it would get us off to a better start in the morning.
