good morning humbug

I don't like mornings. So there. I said it. I bear through them but I don't bode well without a substantial amount of quiet alone time and some coffee - a relaxing ease into the day. Please don't rush me. I used to fight it, argue that I wasn't grumpy & come up with all sorts of excuses - I just didn't sleep well, (Ya didn't sleep well? it's 6freakingAM! who gets up this early on purpose?), I was up late last night..

Ah ha, that's why I don't do well in the morning, it's because what I hate most about morning is that it usually comes after a late night, which I LOVE!

Late at night when everyone is in bed, I'm alone in my office working, or curled up with a good book. I can tippy toe to the fridge to rummage for something, anything - what? There's a beer in here? Okay I can have beer if I want. Being up late is sneaky. I look out my kitchen window and everyone else's lights are out. I should be in bed but I don't have to. Oh good grief morning is going to make me pay for this tomorrow.

I should take a tip from {.erika's.} little man. Maybe I'd feel better in the morning with a Darth Vader mask on my head.

see you in a few muse peeps!

I could be a morning person if everyone would just leave me alone and not even look in my direction until at least 9:30. But I must say, I *would* feel better sipping my coffee (with a straw) wearing a Darth Vader mask. Love both these photos. Your leaves are GORGEOUS.

I love the idea of you rummaging in your fridge, late at night! Sneaking around. I adore your leaf picture and we are all huge Star Wars fans in this home. x

Your leaves get a gold star from me...the color is gorgeous! And pretty much everything is made better by a Darth Vadar mask :-)

Haha! I am a morning person, but love the fact that those like yourself that aren't can be so funny about it! Two great images...but that Darth Vader mask cracks me up! :o)

I can so relate to what you said as I'm not a morning person, either... That shot is beautiful - a great reward for getting up early! :-)

I like your photos, your words, your choice of amazing Stars Wars accompaniment. I like Fall and all the crunchy leaves underfoot.
Bravo.

Oh my goodness, my problem isn't that I don't like mornings. My problem is that I love mornings but I also love late nights. I'm a night owl by nature it seems but I'm also an early bird which makes no sense at all but it is what it is. I can't stand sleeping in because I feel like I've wasted half my day even if it's only 9am when I wake up in a panic that I "over slept" and even if my days last long into the night. My friends don't get it and neither do I.

I used to be a night owl... many many years ago. Now I'm the total morning person and love it. Great post!

This Darth Vader photograph is priceless. I hope, as an adult, he frames it and displays it proudly.

Now I love mornings, but even I could use that vader mask once in a while to scare the sleepiness away
