nature's texture

Untitled

Nature's own texture always insist me to look closer. To frame and capture.
Sometimes I look for something different.
A bit of a vintage look, a touch of a painted canvas.  It makes me feel like the pictures I look at everyday are a part of a huge public museum where I am the one who chooses which one goes up on the wall.
Mahoney Photography WA's picture absolutely captures that for me.
It is the not-so-ordinary use of texture, that inspires me in his picture and makes me even want to delve deeper into it.

Yes, sometimes you can't even tell there's a texture but a great feel about a photo is created. These are both lovely!

I love the canvas texture in both of these images...it's so subtle but really does add that vintage touch. Very nice!

Love these photos! The addition of textures and often their warming quality, does give the look of old paintings with mellowed varnish.

Both soft and beautiful images, Suki.

Reminds me of a vintage postcard and "summering" at the beach. :)

I love the look of both images so much. I love the feel textures give to an image, like you said, it makes them feel much more like works of art.
